Betty and Ross Hall, both 98 years old, were among the first care home residents to receive the COVID-19 vaccine at Eastbourne House Care Home in Whitley Bay.
Care Home manager, Debbie White, said: “It was the biggest Christmas present we probably could have had. We definitely feel that there is light at the end of the tunnel.”
