Philip Horsfield is Strategic Manager at The Village Green Surgery and runs the local vaccination service in Wallsend with the Primary Care Network team led by clinical director Dr Kirstin Richardson.
He said: “Helping to set up and run the Wallsend vaccination programme has been one of the most challenging yet life affirming moments in my career.
“It has been wonderful to work with so many highly committed people to deliver a once in a generation programme which has been so well received by our patients.
“Everyone has worked selflessly for the greater good, and the often emotional response from the people coming through the clinic has been most humbling. This is a project I will never forget.”
