What is Enhanced Access?<\/h2>[vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”large margin-top-10″]In need of an evening or weekend appointment with a GP or a nurse?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

TyneHealth provides patients registered with a North Tyneside practice with the opportunity to book appointments in local Enhanced Access Hubs (central locations.)<\/p>\n

This service now also includes access to\u00a0dedicated cervical screening (smear test) appointments with experienced clinicians.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The appointments are provided by local doctors and nurses who work in North Tyneside GP practices and have full access to your medical records.[\/vc_column_text]

How to use the service<\/h2>[vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”large margin-top-10″]Appointments can be booked by contacting your own GP practice or when your practice is closed, via the TyneHealth Enhanced Access Appointment number\u00a00191 486 2195<\/b>.<\/p>\n

You can make an appointment to see one of the following clinicians:<\/p>\n

  • GP<\/li>\n
  • Advanced Nurse Practitioners (prescribers who see and treat minor injuries\/illnesses)<\/li>\n
  • Practice Nurse<\/li>\n
  • Health Care Assistant<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Patients will be given an appointment at the most convenient or appropriate location for them.<\/p>\n
